NEVERMORE Set Release Date For 'Enemies Of Reality'

February 22, 2003

NEVERMORE have set a tentative June 17 release date through Century Media Records for their new album, "Enemies Of Reality". The group are currently recording the effort at a Seattle studio with producer Kelly Gray (QUEENSRŸCHE, SLAVE TO THE SYSTEM, DOKKEN) and expect to be done tracking sometime next month.

"['Enemies Of Reality'] is well underway," NEVERMORE frontman Warrel Dane confirmed in a posting to the "Studio Report" section of the band's official web site (www.nevermore.tv). "Sorry it took so long to get started with the studio report, but this time we are all still working our regular jobs and recording so things are a bit hectic.

"All the drum tracks are done," the singer continued. "All the bass tracks as well as the main guitar tracks are done. Jeff [Loomis] is doing solos as we speak. I have three main vocals done and things are going very good. Kelly is really easy to work with, so put your fears to rest!! Some really good news for you guys... The release date at this point is June 17th. Yes, June 17th in the US, and I believe June 24th in Europe, so the wait won't be much longer. Be patient, The Enemy awaits..."

The follow-up to 2000's "Dead Heart in a Dead World" marks the final album under NEVERMORE's present contract with Century Media Records. The band, who feature in their ranks former members of the popular '80s power metal act SANCTUARY, are believed to be entertaining offers from several other record companies, including Nuclear Blast Records, who are said to have the inside track to sign the group following the expiration of their current agreement.
